Default Just installed 002r/6.1...problems?

In my first session, I simply opened a new session, created a track, checked to make sure that all my plugs were brought into 6.1 (I think they're all there). When trying to close/exit, I got a "some tasks haven't been completed, close anyway?" message...when I hit yes, I got an access violation message, something about my browser. I don't remember now because when I forced a close, and opened later (after firmware update), I was able to close it okay. It said that some tasks hadn't been completed (I think it might have been "syncing audio files" in the task window, which I canceled), and then let me close. Your thoughts?

Oh yeah, I blew it. I didn't track down all the dalwdm files and delete them before installing 6.1. Should I uninstall everything, do that, and then reinstall? Thanks!

Hi basschair,
Sorry it didn't go smoothly...yet. All those things are just symptoms of the real problem somewhere. Yes, I would delete any of those old files myself, and do it over.
And I don't need to tell you to reboot after each thing you install. I would even play around in PT briefly before loading any plugins, and make sure it feels stable. If so, then one thing at a time. If not, it's time to find the problem now.
Keep us posted... -Roy

Oh, and you might post your specs... you can even put them in your signature for a while until you get it solved if you want...up to you. It definitely helps sometimes to see em.

Thanks Roy. Hey, I also didn't delete the Pace system files, because I was pretty sure that it would mess up the Waves plugs. Should I trash those as well in this next round of uninstall/reinstall?
