Default Building an Amp by Hand

Has anyone ever bought one of the kits from StewMack? I am looking at their '59 Tweed 15 Watt Amp Kit. It seems kind of pricey, considering you have to measure and cut all of the jumpers, install all of the capacitors and resistors and do all of the soldering, etc. They do come with very detailed step by step instructions. It seems like a fun project, but would require a very strict attention to detail.

If you like amp building I would follow Mark Bartel https://www.facebook.com/bartelamps https://www.instagram.com/bartelamps

Oh just such incredibly beautiful construction.... maybe too beautiful after watching what he does I'm not sure I'd want to build anything myself

Wow Darryl, I also checked out his website. Very high quality all around. At $4,800 for the 45 watt model, I don't think I would want to use one of those in some of the dive bars we used to play, lol.

Nice cabinetry. At least he doesn't pot his circuitry like Dumble does/did
