pt 7 quits on startup

I installed PT7 on my old G4 933 mhz which my son has been using. I used it previously, and had PT 6.4 still installed. My son installed Tiger, and has the latest upgrade, 10.4.7. When I tried to open PT it quit, never getting past the plugins stage. I then dumped (or thought I did) all the old PT files, and re-installed 7. Same thing. Then I got the update to 7.1, thinking that would work since 10.4.7 is approved for 7.1. Still the same. By the way, it's an mbox. I use the same system on my PB and it works great, although I have 10.4.6, not 10.4.7.

Any suggestions? I have searched the answer base and the forum...

Pull the plugins out of the plug-ins folder and see if Pro Tools launches. sounds like there's some 6.4 plugs or some incompatible plug causing it to crash during the launch. All your Digi plugins need to be at least version 7, if you're on PT 7.
