Default 11.3 Jerky Graphics

I have the new PT 11.3 running on Yosemite 10.10.1 and my graphics, play cursor and fader movements, are very jerky and not smooth.
It was a clean install of Yosemite and PT 11.2.1 and then I ran the 11.3 installer.
I have trashed prefs and rebooted. (com.avid.ProTools.Plist and the ProTools folder in the Avid folder) (are there any more?)
Even with only one audio track playing it gets a little better, but still jerky.
CPU usage with 1 track is 0%. While running 3 AIR synths usage is 6%. Memory stays a 32%,

Could this be a problem with the AIR synths not ready yet? I understand that if they load at startup they can affect the system even if not used.

Or maybe my old "Early 2009 Mac Pro" can't keep up.

Maybe, what's your specs? SSD's all around?

So I removed all plugins from the Plugin folder, deleted prefs, and rebooted.

On startup, ProTools loaded only the 27 Core Audio Plugins. I created a new session with with 16 mono tracks of pink noise and nothing on the inserts.

The situation is the same, jerky movement of the play cursor and difficult to move a fader up and down when in play. Playback buffer set to 1024. Usage 0%. Memory 24%.

It seems to be a graphic problem, maybe with my vintage of Mac Pro. No one else seems to be having this issue.

I created a thread recently with the exact same problem. It's like the fader jumps randomly during playback right?

What worked for me was to not have any windows opened in the background. Only the mixer window.

Yes, with only the mixer window open the faders work normal.

In ProTools 9 (OS X 7.5) I always had both the mix & edit windows open with no problems.

I'm glad this isn't only a issue on the retina display. Now I just hope they fix these issues. So, after almost 3 months this is not a stable release.

I had the same issues this weekend. I found my 002 console was somehow overloading the system. I disconnected it and used the internal audio out and everything ran smooth. Even with the new drivers installed it didn't help at all... although it did make the faders work again?

I had a weird thing happen in both pt 10 and pt 11 where too much pasted text in the comment area in the track. that text caused the spinning wheel to go nuts.
sensitive pt is sometimes!
