MDW EQ 5 AAX Plug-In

[FIXED, please see below] Ummm, guys I hate to disappoint you but v 5.0.2.19 appears to be NOT AAX-64. Just tried to install it and protools 11 kicked it out into the unused plugins folder as incompatible. Very sad about that, this is my last desert island plugin that I'm missing.

Something's up on your system. I helped George test this plugin and have been using it for months and it absolutely works in PT11.

What version of PT?

Hi Drew, I'm on 11.1, Mac OS 10.8.5.

I'll try installing it again, see if I have any joy. :)

Which 11.1?

Make sure the plug isn't inside a folder inside the Plugin Folder.

Also, you could try trashing your prefs so PT has to rescan.

Ok, problem fixed! Thanks Drew, I would have waited fruitlessly for an announcement!

The problem seems to have been that I had the previous version installed in my unused plugins folder. Then when I installed the new version, protools didn't seem to rescan the plugins and just told me that the new ones were incompatible. Anyway, solution was I deleted them from my unused plugins folder, re-installed, restarted the machine and booted protools, and this time they scanned correctly and are working.

Has this version had the delay compensation bug fixed in addition to working with 11?

That's been a complete PITA in 10 ;-)

Good news if it has as this and Slate VTM are all I need for 11 full time.

MDW in PT10 does not correctly report its delay value (the version I am running) according to George himself it was something to do with the fact that Pro Tools now supposedly self calculates this but the fact the MDW had some kind of oversampling going on internally was throwing it. So I suppose you could say it was actually an Avid issue or is it the plug in? Could be one of those no one owns the problem issues as "it's the other guys fault.

I was doing punch ins on 5.1. stems and it was causing all kinds of horrible issues as it was approx 30 or so samples out at 48Khz. I had to go out of that record the punch parts with handles (you would see silence for about 30 samples at the start) and manually re allign it.

This of course could all have been resolved with either PT 11 having its DC engine tweaked or the new AAX64 version?

A complete and utter nightmare if it hasn't been sorted......Happy days and big thanks to all involved if it has.

So that's why I'm asking as I wont be at work till tomorrow to check.

I hope that all makes sense but it was very real issue and very problematic for me.
