Default Importing Audio from a Movie

I've had an interesting problem the last few times I've tried to import the audio from a QT movie in PT 6.1 on my G4. When I go to do this, I get a very small 8 K file with no audio at all. This has happened on two projects that were imported from a 1/2" with iMovie and exported to a DV file. Anybody know about this?

i've never had a problem with this, but i always use final cut to digitze vids. Maybe somehow audio wasn't included in the export from imovie?
just a thought. Can you confirm that there is audio in the movie by playing it in QT?

good luck

PTs cannot import many types of audio codecs that may be used by your movie. Check your convertor settings to see if it is compressing the audio.

/OR/

Open the movie in QT and select command-J to see what type of audio file you are dealing with. If it is anything other than uncompressed you could use QTPro to export it to something that you can then import into PTs.
