Default I want to learn to make a tutorial what programs do I need

I have never used video before and I just want to know how these people make those tutorials

Can video be edited in HD10
What program do they use when they make tutorials with the highlighted pointer or circle or flashing pointer.

What do I need for this .

I dont want a video camera just a screen visual with audio and the ability to have the pointer highlighted . Possibly have a nice intro with text.

I dont know where else to ask so I asked here.
If somebody know where I could start please do so

I belive it's called screencasting software.

I have no experience with such software but found a list of different open source ones you can maby try ?

I bet RussUK has some reccomendations as he makes alot of videos over at ProToolsExpertBlog, but I'm not shure he is here on the DUC anymore.

Telestream's ScreenFlow.
Quick, stable and reasonably priced.

2. HD can make simple edits.

One of my approaches may be to capture voice, screen, and a movable web cam via SF.
Edit loose in SF then bring into PT's.
Post whats needed then export and finish (Text, zooms, pointers) in SF and post to desired location and or file..

This app is also good for video storyboarding. However if will slow as it's size expands as the document carries all your elements.

T.

PS use my signatures website link for a few examples of music vids and pro tools.
My cameras are; laptops cam, ipad cam and logitec web cam.
