Thanks for the reaffirmation/reinforcement in your bold note. 85dB always felt too aggressive in my space, so I'd backed it down to 82 based on instinct/comfort.

the Radio Shack SPL meter is not availible in germany,
anyone has a advice for another (cheap but good) SPL meter?
