Default Yamaha 03D level problem

I just purchased a 03D yamaha desk.
When I connect the PT master out to the adat card and make the level of PT hot (+/- 0dB.)
The input of the adatcard on the 03D is overloaded.
How can I monitor proper then?
Is this normal and what to do ?
Tips and tricks welcome

Hi.
I have a O2R with 2 Adat cards wich I connect with Digi's Adat Bridge.
When I bought the cards, one of them was working perfectly, the other one was sounding crap, distorted signal and even sometimes confusing the stereo LR chanells-changin 1 with 2 and 2 with 1.
I did a lot of tests and notice it was not the ADAT Bridge, the O2r set ups, the cables, or Pro Tools faults.
I send it back to the delear and get a new one. Now everything is working fine for more than a year.
So check the possibility of a card malfunction, ask your delear to try another, and keep it if it works out.

Andre:
I also have a 03D connected to my AdatBridge,
Are you connecting thru Adat lightpipe??
or the analog outs of the Adatbridge??
Let me know about your connections, maybe I can help you.

Camilo

the goal was to use the lightpie from the adatbridge to the 03.this works well for track laying, but as soon as I start mixing and raise the master level, say around-3dB ,the input(channel 1-2 from the adatcard)starts clipping, indicated by the tiny meters on the 03,and also in the monitors. It's gets even worse when I do prepare a CD master with really hot levels(-0.02dB).My solution is to use the analog outs from the bridge and going into the analog stereo in on the 03.
This is unpractical and not representative to hear what is going on.
Adatbridge 16 bit.
Tips please.
