Default PC user upgrading from Windows 7 to windows 8 need help

How do I transfer all my Pro tools files to the new computer? Session files and all the necessary support files... Does back up to an external HD do the trick? Migrate between computers via cable?
Thanks for any advice you can offer...

Hi OdeMan,

You can copy all your sessions and projects on your External HD, but not the actual Pro tools application files.

Just download and install a fresh copy of Pro tools on your Windows 8 computer.

Best Regards,

YD
