Pro tools HD Native help

Hi guys Im trying to decide what setup i should buy for my studio I am building. First things first do you need a control surface to use a HD system? I am looking to record and mix off the same system for now if that makes sense. I am looking to spend 6000 to 7000 dollars on the setup. I need some advice on which HD system to buy. Any help would be great I hope my question makes sense to some one.

Welcome to the forum MusicLOve. No control surface is needed to run HD. With your posted price range, I'd enquire into the HD Native world. Some more info can be found here. The resource tab in the link will bring you to user guides and manuals that you can download and check out etc.
