Speed Efficiency
I have a laptop Sony Vaio with an 80GB internal hd and a 250GB 7200RPM ext. hd. Would it be more efficient to install ProTools and Plug-ins on my external or should I leave the install files on the C drive? I'm thinking it would respond quicker to the external drive because its faster, but I'm not sure if it will cause any issues. Anyone know?

Re: Speed Efficiency
You should install protools and plugins on your system drive. When you create your sessions, create them on the ecxternal firewire drive.

Re: Speed Efficiency
Thats the setup I have. But I've maxed out my laptops RAM at 1GB, which isnt a lot...and it starts to bog down and use up alot of CPU after a short time and only a couple plug-ins.
