external LTC not displayed in session tc window
Hello, on version 8.0.4 I see the external timecode from the deck/motu in the session window under incoming time. However, this timecode is not displayed in the session's tc window. Instead, it is displaying the time elapsed from the session start time. When I record from the deck, I want PT's session to lock to the incoming tc (that it is seeing). This is something that worked in version 7...feel like I am missing something very simple. Any help appreciated!

Re: external LTC not displayed in session tc window
Thanks Craig, but going online doesn't solve the problem. We are online and recording, but the session tc window isn't matching the incoming timecode...

Re: external LTC not displayed in session tc window
Edit/Counter Windows TC is timeline code not incoming code
So is Pro Tools locking to TC or not? Could you have the counter set to Min:Sec instead of TC? Do you have a large offset set? Is your Session's Start Time relatively close to the external TC?

Re: external LTC not displayed in session tc window
Problem is that PT is not locking to incoming TC. It sees it -- Session Setup/Incoming Time box displays the correct external TC, but it won't lock. The session start is close to DAT start. No offset.
"Counter set to Min:Sec instead of TC?" not sure what you mean by that. I see bars|beats, min:sec, and samples... |

Re: external LTC not displayed in session tc window
on closer inspection, looks like the problem might be that the session start time isn't changing even though it is changed in the session window. Weird. So, there is a large difference between the incoming timecode and the default session timecode of 00:00:00:00. Do you need DV toolkit to change session start time???? That would be really mean.

Re: external LTC not displayed in session tc window
With out DVTK you do not have a SMPTE TC ruler
As far as I know you can not chase TC with out it (I may be wrong on this)
