Default Need your advice purchasing plugins for HD Accel 2

I'm looking to spend money on TDM EQ and compressor plugins for the HD Accel 2 system. I already have the Waves REN Comp, UAD Plugins (but these are RTAS). Which one's are a favorite, and worth investing in?

I was thinking about getting the URS A and N 1.2 series EQ.

What's your opinion?

Thanks in advance.

UAD plug-ins are TDM, are you using the UAD card and VST- RTAS with HD Accel ? As far as EQs for TDM, my favorites are McDSP Filterbank, MDW EQ ,URS EQ A and N and BF/Digi Pultec EQP-1A. Compressors I like McDSP Compressorbank, UAD 1176 and LA2A, BF/Digi Fairchild Bundle, Impact. Some other great plug-ins are McDSP Analog Channel, Eventide Reverb, Princeton 2016 Reverb, EchoFarm,TL EveryPhase, SoundToys SoundBlender.

Dutchmuzik,

Thanks for the list. I do have the UAD card version, which is why I said RTAS. I can convert via the VST to RTAS adapter, but I don't know how well they work with the HD2 system.

Hi,

my tip is - McDSP !!!!!!!

They are not very expensive, they never have ever charged for an update! They are most flexible and sound great, and they only use very little DSP........

best from germany....

SOME of my Favs are:Anything by WAVES,,, the Drawmer Dynamics Compressor bundle are grade AAA compressors though,,, and as far as EQ, I have MANY, but I can't get away from the Focusrite D2,,, it's just plain Awesome,, and sooooo easy to use. But my other suggestion is,, GET MORE WAVES PLUG-INS,,, they are pretty much the best, I have ALL of them,,, and they rock... They have like 10 Eq's if not more,, and alot of compressors,,, you should see about upgrading to a cool bundle from Waves, from the Waves plug ins you have now,, I've done that, and it works out pretty good..........

My preference for multi-purpose EQ and COMP goes to Sony Oxford.

Yeah,, all them Bomb Factory Plug Ins are excellent(like their name says,,, they're da "BOMB"), I highly recomend them.
And I told you before,, Drawmer Dynamics is keen as well, I recomend them too.
But I honestly stay away from "Multi-Purpose" Plug-Ins. I like a plug in to concentrate on ONE thing,, so it does it the BEST!!
Know what I mean ?? So keep that in mind as well.. I personally can hear a difference in one of those "channel strip" plug-ins that do a bunch of stuff all in one plug-in, then if you singuraly put a plug in that each does one of those each things inside the channel strip.. Sure it takes up alot more CPU,, but it sounds better...

My ears vote first for Sony, then for McDSP, but McDSP are also great for user friendliness, usability, clever production tools notably Filterbank, with its resonant cutoff filters.
Main mix plugins for me are Sony EQ, Sony dynamics, McDSP compressor bank, Waves de-esser, Waves RenComp, Waves L2 at the end of the chain.
