BFD Serial number?

Hi all,
Sorry, total beginner question here, but I can't seem to locate the serial number for my BFD Lite install.
I'm running an iMac with PT LE 8.0.5, just installed BFD and wanted to check for upgrades and such, but need the serial number to do so on the FXPansion website. According to their support page:
"Here's how you can rediscover your BFD serial number if you have previously installed and run BFD.
Mac OSX: run the Terminal app, and type at the prompt:
defaults read com.fxpansion.bfd productKey

The other place you can look is the preferences file itself:-
/Users//Library/Preferences/com.fxpansion.bfd.plist
Double click on it, and you will see all the BFD preferences in the OSX plist editor. Find the productKey."

But I tried that and when I use the Terminal app it says, "The domain/default pair of (com.fxpansion.bfd, productKey) does not exist"
When I look in the preferences file there's no "com.fxpansion.bfd.plist" there.

The super weird thing is that it opens in Pro Tools and works, so it seems like it's okay, but I just can't find the serial number to update it.
Any wisdom is greatly appreciated.

That happened to us aswell a year ago and we just sent FXPansion an email to their support and we were asked to provide our registered email address and booom! We got the serial nr the next day via email and all was working great.

Yeah you might wanna contact avid b/c they were responsible for updating that program

- ignition pack is what I believe that was called - you need to look in your avid account to see about any updates
