Default Worth repairing Mix/TDM cards?

I have 7 Mix Cores/Farms that fail digitest. They were pulled from an expansion chassis and were never touched. They look brand new, but sat for about 5 years in the chassis.

I guess repairing them is impossible at this point?

Repair costs more than buying 2nd hand cards, so no.

But you can try to fix it yourself. Grab some alcolhol and rub the connectors clean, then re-seat the cards and try again. It might fix it. But if the fault is in the chips, they're worthless.

I'll try that and see.

Does anyone even offer to repair them these days?

No, there would be no value in repairing them. Those cards are basically worthless today.

Have you tried a process of elimination? The odds of all of them being bad, it's very small.

Pull them all out, start with the core card, see what you get then, then keep going one at a time until you can figure out which ones are not working properly.

I did each one of these one at a time. I'm getting Latch Control failures and other error in digitest. I have other cards that work just fine running the same tests so I don't know.

Those cards barely had a speck of dust on them when pulled and they still look brand new. I wonder what could've happened to them. Hmm...

Have you actually tried to launch PT with the cards installed? Sometimes digitest has given me false errors

Yep, they won't launch PT. These sat in a studio in Los Angeles in a chassis and haven't been run in a while.. Have no idea what could've damaged them.

Most likely a power surge.

Have you tested these Core cards inside a Mac/PC one at a time? with an interface connected and powered on?

I own several Chassis and had card failures happen because the power
supply in the chassis was on the way out. Iv'e even installed brand new power supplies that did not function properly without a Load Resister or Hard Drive connected drawing juice inside the chassis. Weird Failures would happen...........
