Best way to compose beats in Pro Tools?
I have Pro Tools 8 LE (Mbox2) and I want to take a stab at composing some beats.
I started to play around with Xpand2 and I'm realizing that it's more advanced than what I want to do. Without a MIDI keyboard it's annoying to have to draw out all of the notes with the mouse. I just want have some sort of setup where I can use the sounds from this sound bank but move them around visually inside pro tools as if they were audio clips. Is this possible, or should I look for another editing program? I like all the features that Xpand has, I just don't have the composing skills. I just want to move around some loops to make beats. Any advice? |
