Default Fade files on wrong volume (drive)

Once i pop for PT10 on both my computers this won't be an issue anymore, I know, but this is driving me bonkers on the system with 9 installed.

I have a Win7 x64 laptop - Dell Studio with a Core i7, 8GB, and it has a second hard drive bay. I recently filled that bay with a second 7200RPM drive and moved my PT9 sessions to the new drive.

Now that I've done that, whenever I open an existing session it creates the fade files in a folder at the root of the system drive. Is that how it's supposed to work? This is making me batty.

Thx in advance.

Check the disk allocation for the tracks in the session.

You are right - disk allocation for several tracks is directed to the folder that gets created. I'm trying to change it to the location of the session but double-clicking, right-clicking, etc. don't do anything. I checked the box for custom allocation options and chose the folder with the session and the tracks still aren't allowing me to change.

The workspace shows the volume as a Record volume for Audio and Video (and I re-selected Record just to be safe), and if I create new tracks it will default to the folder with the session. If I create new sessions on that volume, they also default to that volume.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

edit: oh, what the fffff- click-and-hold gives me the menu. Welcome to Netscape Navigator context menus on Mac System 7...lol

Thanks for getting me on the right track (harrrrr), Rail. :)
