indexing = crashing
hi guys, would like some help with this.
mac pro 2x 2.66ghz dual xeon 4gb m-box 2 pro PT 8.4 LE when ever I try to index a drive through the workspace PT crashes after about 2mins of progress. weather its creating waveforms, analysing elastic audio or updating database. PT task manager freezes & colour wheel cursor over any pt windows. my sample drive is a WDC sata 7500rpm 1TB although only 650gb used. I've also run through disk utility with no errors. any ideas how i can solve this? |

Have you tried trashing the databases first?
Does it do it on any drive or just one drive? Jc |

Maybe it' a corrupted file. Try indexing one folder at a time.
If you have TechTool, run a surface scan to rule out a bad block. Jc |
