Default Trouble with Fast Track and AT2020

I just picked an Audio Technica AT2020 microphone with the m-audio Fast Track Duo version (the one with the XLR and the 1/4 guitar jack that I wont be using). I live stream videogames and use the high quality mic for better audio. For some reason, the audio has been unbalanced; as in I can only hear it in my left ear of my headphones but not my right. This mono audio is a nuisance and I can't find any answers. Please help. Im using Windows 8.1 btw.

What are you using to record? You're recording a single microphone, so it is going to be mono, no way around that.. It sounds more like a panning problem, ie. you have that single input panned hard left or right.

Indeed, its a common "newbie" goof to attempt to record a mono signal to a stereo track(this stuff takes time to learn).

Assuming that you're using direct monitoring (no DAW) on the Fast Track, you can buy http://www.amazon.com/Hosa-YXM121-Fe...RQYTQ4FBVV2854 to connect the mic output to both Fast Track input channels. Although it's still mono, you'll hear it in both ears.
