PT Internal MIDI...to sync with SF Vegas

Is there any way to get Vegas to sync with PT 24 without a physical MIDI interface? I've managed to sync VEgas with Ensoniq PAris on Win98 using PAris's internal midi drivers. Can it be done with PT?
ANy replies or suggestions are appreciated !!
