Default Condenser Mic not working with C24

I'm trying to connect a microphone Rode NT2000. When you plug a microphone on channel 1 for example turn on +48 V Phantom Power does not receive any signal from the microphone to a channel in ProTools. I can not find any settings that how can I set pre amp and how to run a microphone.

I using, ProTools 8, Digidesing C/24 new, and I/O96...
All Dynamic microphones operate without any problems, but when I try condenser microphone does not receive a signal. I do not know how to run it.
Can we help someone if you understand what I'm saying?

Thank you!

If a dynamic mic works on the same input and you have phantom power turned on then three things are possible.

0. The mic cable is faulty. Make sure you test using a known good cable. Then just swap the Mics at the end of that cable.
1. The NT2000 is damaged/dead. Check it in some other device, portable recorder, live mixer board, PA etc.
2. The C|24 phantom power is faulty. Easy to check with a DC multimeter.

Rode the new microphone is not used. I have a few new microphone that also do not work as well as the condenser. C24 is also brand new. 'll Check this with the cables you mentioned. So no additional adjustment is not necessary unless you push the button +48 V?

I cannot follow what you are saying.

I don't care what is new/old. Brand new things can be broken as well.

Get a known working microphone set up in a properly working Pro Tools session, and without changing *anything* else switch the Microphones. Turn on phantom power if it is a condenser. What Mics work/do not work? I'll leave it to you whether you think phantom power should always be off before switching a condenser Mic. (always a good topic for an online argument...)

All the other microphones that do not work are condensers as well?

They do not work reliably or are intermittent? (is it a cable/mechanical connector problem)?

Does enabling phantom power put 48V DC on the Mic connectors? One the C|24 DB-25 pinouts? One the cable you are using right to the Microphone? If you don't own a multimeter now is the time to buy one.

Yes, other condensers microphones also will not work.
I tried to join via C | 24 DB25 pinouts. Tomorrow I'll check into the studio and cables, take the DC meter to check everything as you said. Thanks for your help I hope that I would be of use.

Are you sure your DB25 cables are connected correctly(C24 to 96IO)?

I'm not following how that could be a problem if it is working for dynamic mics.

Yes I'm sure. Everything else works great. In my country now is 5:09 AM, and when I go to the studio today, I'll make some pictures of how everything is connected. But I think it has nothing to do with it when it is operating in a dynamic microphone, everything is normal. I even tried it as a direct input to attach a microphone and still did not want to give the signal. It's possible that something is wrong with the phantom. Since I bought the c24 did not use phantom power at all.

I'm with Craig.... earth-lifting is fairly common.
