System Requirements
SSL 360° software must be installed on your Mac or Windows computer in order to use SSL UF1. SSL 360° is available for FREE from the 'Documents & Downloads' tab on this page.
SSL 360° software requires the following:
• Mac 10.5 (Catalina), 11 Big Sur (Apple Silicon & Intel), 12 Monterey (Apple Silicon & Intel), 13 Ventura (Apple Silicon & Intel).
• Windows 10, Windows 11 (including 12th Gen Intel Machines)
• Intel 3rd Gen Core i5 (or comparable AMD processor) CPU running at 2.4GHz or higher
• 8GB RAM or more is recommended
• Internet-connection for software updates from SSL 360° application

It would be awesome if Avid would license their EuCon protocol to third party manufacturers, or if someone would make a better HUI?!?!
127 step resolution in a fader isn't acceptable.

I like the look of SSLs range of control surfaces but… in Pro Tools, are they hamstrung by HUI’s four character track name restriction?

I've not seen the UF8 or UF1 myself, but if they are HUI, then yes. Four characters abbreviation on track names.

I just watched a very comprehensive video on using the UF1 with Pro Tools and it does indeed stick to the 4 character names as Ben expects. Other DAW's that use other protocols seem to not have this limitation, but I too wish Eucon could be used by other controllers. In any case, even though my Faderport V2 has no scribble strip, its still highly useful(especially with neyrinck's V-Control Pro) and it looks like SSL have made the most out of what's possible(besides the naming issue). I just wish the UF1 was a few hundred bucks cheaper
