OMF import woe\'s / PT6 on OSX ?
A while back there was discussion about the way Digitranslator 2 is much less forgiving than version 1, when it comes to importing Avid OMFs into sessions.
Well the problem has now cropped up again, as the post house we use has now switched over to PT6 running on OS 10.2.8 from their previous version 5. Dubb sessions are now having constant problems as 3 out of 4 OMF files are rejected by DT2, then we keep having the sessions interupted by "spinning beachball of death" - i have shown them how to repair disk permissions so maybe that will help. So my two questions are these..... Is Digidesign doing anything to make DT2 as useful as its earlier version? because its no use at the moment. What is the most stable PT6 TDM (i think)/OSX combination at the moment ? thanks adam
