I agree. The product should have been killed already. But that would require having to admit to making a mistake. And heck yes migrate First users to Pro Tool standard with a introductory free period seems a nice idea. And if a low end product was needed, why not base it on one release binary with license based restriction like starting with a very low number of tracks. Just so much wrong with this whole First mess. ... Lets create a PITA plugin store that makes *no* sense for any of out plugin vendors to support, and lets irritate users and vendors more... when we have one of the weaker plugin ecosystems... Ya can't make this stupidity up.

I wonder if they changed it to my suggestion with this new 2021.3 release. I don't dare recommend it to anyone without knowing in advance.
