What does "8 DSP channel inputs " refer to in the features list? Does that mean you can only EQ, delay etc. 8 channels at a time?

Also: Is this a fully modular system like the QSYS, Xilica Neutrino or are there only fixed signal flows?

Thanks

Frank

Frank, the "DSP channel inputs" is a separate feature besides the matrix in the MMP-1. For monitor EQ, level and delay you can route any analog, AES or Dante input or output via the 32x32 matrix.

Ah, ok got it.

But the signal flows as such are fixed correct? I mean the architecture itself. Not like the QSYS, BSS, Xilicas where you can build your own signal flows (oh I want for some reason an additional delay on this or that input or I want a solo for all the surrounds but not the ceiling etc.) and decide what you want on the iPad remote etc?

I think that is a yes and a no.. Additional delays per input are not possible I think, but (from memory now) solo'ing separate outputs or output groups should be possible. But if you can edit that in a scene, and control it from the iPad remote is a bit unclear to me now. It has actually two matrixes. A Monitor matrix and a Speaker matrix. This is pretty flexible. Here you'll find (not too deep) youtube explanation video's of that Yamaha demo guy.

JanuS,
You really should use a Meyer Galaxy or Galileo EQ for your Meyer Designer speakers. That is the best EQ for those speakers. Those 2 EQ's WILL make a difference the way they sound ( for the better)!
I speak from experience.

Dear Marti, I really want that as well! But again, it's my home studio, and the budget is is really done now. I have to start up with this. A really appreciate your suggestion, and will go for the Gallileo EQ's when budget is there again. Maybe for the the better, to really hear the difference then.

The Q-Sys is the best out there. I just finished tuning my new room, and it continually blows me away. QSC did a great job with it.

Do Tell. What's the advantage of Q-sys over Intonato or Yamaha?

The QSys...
How about... Available Now in Stock
Much more customizable
Much more Horsepower. I am using 18% of it's power
in the most demanding set up around!
Has Dante

Well thats a few of the advantages.
