Default What iPhone apps do you use with PT LE on XP?

There's a recent thread about this on the Mac forum but since I use both... And just got a 3G for my bday. :)

Default Re: What iPhone apps do you use with PT LE on XP?

Bump. Seriously? Nobody? Here's what I'm trying/may try soon.

1. Numberkey. Works on Mac, but (unless I did something wrong, which is always possible) the Windows version interprets the keystrokes as being the same as the numbers across the top of the keyboard, not the number pad. Gives you a working Delete, Tab, period, comma, and Enter, and the ability to enter numbers into a field if you can get it selected. But remotely? Pretty much useless on Windows, apparently, as far as controlling PT transport. $2

2. Air Mouse Pro. Should work well if you're where you can see your computer screen well. Accelerometer mouse, track pad, and a few programmable hot keys. $3

3. Snatch: trackpad and remote. Allows you to build and store your own custom layouts of keystrokes and "hot keys" (macros?), as well as full keyboard control. I think I'll try this next and report. Should be able to build a full PT transport, plus some. With that, it would be possible to track yourself from another room, with some forethought and prep. $4

4. Mocha VNC + Tight VNC. Mocha doesn't get the greatest reviews, but over on the Mac side, some claim to have had great success with it. Should allow you to see your whole screen (little bits at a time) on the iPhone, and work everything. Adjust fader and send levels while tracking yourself from another room? Hope so. If it works. ::crossing fingers:: $6

5. Far Out Labs has three programs that apparently emulate HUI commands or something.
_a. ProTransport. Just the transport controls, but it looks slick and is supposed to work great. $9.
_b. ProRemote Lite. 8 faders plus transport. $36 on sale right now, norm $40.
_c. ProRemote. 32 faders plus transport. $100 on sale right now, normally $150. Ouch.

6. Jaadu VNC. Same deal as Mocha except it gets very high customer ratings. $25.

Not sure I'll go for anything over $10 unless I just can't get anything cheap to work satisfactorilly. It's only music, for cryin' out loud.

I've been thinking about Airmouse.

A DUC member I know uses one of the VNC programs and remote desktop to keep access and keep track of his Windows desktops, servers and a Mac.

I do have Peterson's iStrobosoft and Skype which kicks butt. Its nice to hold a global PT conference call for free
