Default 002r Midi issues

I am having trouble getting the 002R to work with Snow Leopard.
Audio works fine, but no midi

Pro tools 9.06
SL 10.6.8

Have tried several of the drivers posted
9.03r and 10.3.3

Is there a work around for this?
