Default LS56 with 2 Octopre MKII no ADAT signal

I'm trying to get PT 9 to recognize my ADAT signals from my Octopres. The set up is as follows:

Octopre 1 set to internal clock source and connected to LS56 via optical only

Octopre 2 set to Word clock source and connected to LS 56 via optical and BNC

signal from octopre reaches Mix Control but PT 9 is not recieving it when set to ADAT 1 also PT is not seeing the other 8 ADAT channels.

Everything is set to the same sample rate.

Any thoughts?

I think you are not clocking correctly. I would run a BNC cable from the LS56 out to either OctoPre in, then another BNC from the first OctoPre out to the second OctoPre in. Set the LS56 as master and set both OctoPre's to Wordclock(you might need a terminator on the second OctoPre). Then you may need to review the routing in the software that comes with the LS56.

Thanks for the reply!

That would make the most sense, but these Octopre's are not the Dynamics. There is only a Word Clock In on them, no outs. There is only one out on the LS56.

I spent an hour on the phone with tech support and this is what they came up with. It was promising actually seeing signal in the LS56 software. This tells me they are clocking correctly. The signal is just not getting into PT.

This is what I found on their support page for the LS 56. Not sure if you solved your problem yet or if you have already seen this, but it's worth a try.

Make sure your optical leads are fully home in their sockets. I chased a "fault" for a long time that turned out to be purely that.

Just curious if you solved your problem and what worked if you did?

Me too ^^^ Having the same problem with Saffire Pro 40 + Octopre Platinum into PT 9.0.3 on a MacBook Pro OS 10.6.7

PT let's me assign the input of a track to an ADAT input, but receives no audio.

Mix Control receives audio from all inputs.

OSX shows Saffire as an option in Audio MIDI Setup with ADAT inputs.

I know I'm close to figuring this out but it's taking forever... WAAA!!
