Import Audio
Hello everyone.......
Im having trouble on trying to import some audio from a cd into protools..... When I create a session and try to import it says the audio is not readable by protools Im running ProTools 6.7 on windows XP home, Digi 002 Rack.. Thanks |

I think the only way to import straight from CD is through the PT Workspace. Check the manual but i think this is only in PT7 too.

Hi-
If you import the Audio to your HD locally, then import, Does that work? I havent ever ripped right off a CD into Pro Tools.. By ripping the data off of the CD onto your local machine/HD, then importing, may be a work around.. Also note, that if your project is recording at say... 44.1K/24 bit, you'll need to let PT do the conversion via the Audio Import function to ensure proper import format.. Not an issue in PT... It will handle all of that for you.. Again, if you have XP, let MS rip the data you need, save it to your Hard Drive/Local machine, and then try and re-import via PT.. Let us know & good luck... |
