So.......After a COMPLETE clean install of Sierra, a COMPLETE clean install of Pro Tools, a Complete clean install of AIR instruments, the Mini Grand worked. I then did a COMPLETE clean install of Air effects and Mini Grand stopped working.

Right, except that the only confirmation I see here that it works on PT are from people running v1.2.7, not v1.2.1 (the one we get from Avid).

Are you running v1.2.1 successfully under PT12.6? What OS?

I'm pretty confused atm. We have a report here of it happening under El Cap, there's a report in the airmusictech thread of it happening under Logic Pro X... assuming we're all on the same page and experiencing the same problem, I'm having trouble figuring out what the culprit might be.

I am not running it successfully on PT12 with Avid's version.
I was until I installed the AIR effects bundle.
That killed it.

Yes running Mini Grand version 1.2.1.18799 on Sierra.... I don't know if it makes any difference but as I said in an earler post, I happended have done entire brand new install of Yosemite and PT 12.4 and the bundled 12.0 AIR instruments on a brand new SSD boot drive about 6 months ago. Then last saturday did an upgrade of Sierra over Yosemite trashed the PT 12.4 app and installed 12.6 . Also in full disclosure I have only tested it for a few minutes and have not tried actually running any extended period like for recording a song or anything.
I will give a more extensive trial later today or tomorrow

Ahh, you know what - someone in the thread over at AIR mentioned that too. Perhaps it's the effects bundle doing the damage. I'll have to try reinstalling the instruments but not the effects and see what happens.

The fact that it's working for you at all would suggest that everything is fine on your end. Do you have the AIR effects installed too?

Is your sig up to date? Because if so, it could be the fact that you're on 12.4HD and not 12.6 that's making all the difference.

ha! no my sig was not up to date as per my previous posts I am on 12.6 and Sierra I'll go update my sig now to prevent any possible confusion.

Yes I have all the bundled AIR FX and AIR instruments installed and a couple of Additional AIR instruments I purchased as well Hybrid ,Loom and Vaccum Pro
I was also testing a few Waves FX plugs on those Mini Grand tracks (some have been reporting problems) but so far everything seems fine

I just spent about 1/2 hour working on test session with two instances of mini Grand on two instrument tracks recording and playing back and everything seems great it sound and plays like it always did ........ I also put some of the Air FX like chorus, dynamic delay, and ensemble works fine ???????????
I am at complete loss to explain it other than than the install procedure described in my other posts ?????????

Nah, my bad - I didn't catch the bit about 12.6 in your last reply.

Weird indeed - maybe it's the difference between native and HD(?). I guess we'll have to wait for someone from Avid and/or AIR to chime in.
