Default 003 stand alone driver question

Just purchased a new iMac i7 quad core. Not currently planning on loading ProTools but I have a Digi 003 that I'd like to use as a stand alone interface. Can someone help me find the proper stand alone drivers for the Digi003 Rack? The driver download page is a little confusing to me.

It appears that on a lot of these driver downloads they require ProTools to be installed first. I may eventually re-purchase ProTools but for now would like to use my Digi003 with other DAWs.

If it turns out I have to have ProTools downloaded would my old 8.0 that I updated online to 8.3 be compatible with the new OS X Mountain Lion?

Thanks

The latest driver is right here. Pick the latest one (Jan 2013):

You can install it by itself. I don't see where it says you need Protools installed. If it does, that's wrong.

Even back in the days of Protools LE, you could still install a standalone driver by itself.

Yeah, no need to install PT, just the drivers.
