Default Disable Y Key (Snap Start to TC)

Is there a way to disable this key?

I can't tell you how many hundreds of times I've hit Y when trying to hit T to zoom in, and then the last thing I had selected moves to the front of the song. I often don't even notice it until much later and can't find the clip.

Can't disable just the one key; you have to disable them all by disabling 'commands keyboard focus'. From page 26 of the manual: 'you can still access any of the shortcuts by using the control key along with the single key'.

I totally agree, all the ancient key commands for working with external TC should finally be replaced! these come from times we were working with VCRs or V-MODs.

In the meantime, try this: Put a very short, empty, edit-locked region group across all tracks at the very beginning of your session. Now if you accidentally move a clip there by hitting the Y key, you get a warning message about the locked group. Just hit Cancel, done

(there aren't enough emojis in the world to equal the number of times I've hit "Y" accidentally)
