Kontakt Pro Tools Midi Controller Signal Routing

Hello Forum,

I'm having trouble monitoring my midi controller keyboard instrument while using Kontakt 2 as an RTAS plugin in Pro Tools. I'm using a Motif 6 as the controller and an M-Audio Firewire Audiophile. Here's my setup:

-Stereo Instrument track with Kontakt 2 as a stereo multi-channel insert. The instrument I/O section is set to "All" input / Kontakt 2 1-1 Output. The track I/O section is set to Mic/Line input / Audio 1-2 Output.

-One midi track with Firewire Audiophile Ch. 1 as input / Kontakt 2 1-1 output.


When I play my Motif, I don't hear any sound, but I know that the midi signal is being picked up because when I record input from my Motif to the midi track, I see events, and they play back through the Kontakt plugin. Also, I've been able to monitor my keyboard playing through rewired Reason with no problem. I've tried record enabling both the midi track and the instrument track with the same result. Also when I play the virtual keyboard in Kontakt 2, I'm able to hear the sound. Just can't get my actual midi keyboard's signal to go through. Please help!

I think you need to check the Midi Thru option. It's on the Options menu.
