Default Help for the New Guy..

Looking for some suggestions from the group. (Thanks in advance by the way).
I purchased a used studio package a few years back. The previous owner had installed Pro-Tools but then switched to Logic. I've been using Logic for the small projects I've worked on but recently recorded in a large studio which used pro tools. There were several tracks that didn't make the disc but I do have on a portable hard drive and would like to access them and do some mixing to them for future B-Sides/Bonus tracks. When I access the drive I see the files attempt to open and then am asked for a security code which of course I don't have.

I do have several Pro-Tools discs. I think the most recent version is 5.0.1 .

Any suggestions on where/how to upgrade or get a security code to unlock this system?

Thanks.

CHRIS

It's hard to figure out exactly what you're trying to do. We need more information.

Exactly what comes up on the screen when you try to open files?

Also, are you trying to open files in Logic? What Mac OS are you using, OS9 or OSX? As far as using PT goes, are you using Digidesign hardware (PT Mix, HD, etc.)?

Are these files on some sort of locked drive?
