Default McDSP Synthesizer One TDM

I would love to touch base with any McDSP Synthesizer One users out there.
I was wondering what you guys think of the sounds etc
Is it better than the other TDM synths and how good is the processing of audio pushed into it
I was really disapointed with trying to process audio with the Access Virus Indigo--seems you culd only use the vocoder input!!

cheers Dave

Hi Dave,

Try the VI forum down below! there's plenty of synth users down there!!

We only really have a few choices for TDM synths; Indigo, McDsp S1 and Unitonic Aurora.

Check our aurora here... http://www.unitonic.com/

There's a demo available.

Chris

Thanks Chris,
To my ears I owned a Prophet VS which was one of the first wavetable machines and it sounded better than both the McDSP and Access.
I was expecting something close the VS but both are not quite there

Hi,

The best stuff is mostly VST with the FXpansion wrapper or RTAS! i tried loads of stuff and i have ended up with..

Korg Legacy http://www.korg.com/gear/info.asp?A_PROD_NO=Legacy
ReFX Vanguard http://www.refx.net/?page=!_Vanguard
octopus http://www.linplug.com/Products/Octopus/octopus.htm
Aurora http://www.unitonic.com/
Albino http://robpapen.com/
Bass station http://www.novationmusic.com/product...pe=2&bArchive=
crystal (free) http://www.greenoak.com/crystal/

OOOOH Forgot about Hybrid!! fast and very usable, more of a sound module to my thinking!

All go nicely with my Minimoog and Andromeda

Chris

Hybrid is a great soft synth, integrates and runs perfectly in PT.

Unitonic Aurora is also nice but it's something you have to get your head around, I haven't messed with it enough.

SoundFuel Solid looked promising but the presets were so uninspiring and I ended up not buying it.

Albino 3 is RTAS and is a great one !

Novation V-Station is not bad

McDSP Synth One is ok.

I am gonna have to give the Korg Legacy a go, have heard many great things

Cameleon 5000 from Camel Audio is also very cool. The list is pretty long...
