Default Anyone care to help a total newbie?

Hi guys, I just recently switched to Pro Tools M Powered (I upgraded to 7.3.1, I think?). Here is my question. I have a desktop PC, a 2496 audio card, a Mackie 1202 and a Roland VS880EX. What do I need to get more input tracks? The Mackie will allow 6 outputs I think, but only has two phono (rca) outputs. For now, I can only record one stereo track and I would like to max out the Mackie.

A)What card do I need
B)What is firewire and do I need that card
C)How do I get 1/4" outputs into the card

Thanks for helping!

A) depends on what you need to do with it. i'd suggest searching around m-audios site for interfaces and figuring out what works best for you.
B) if you don't have any devices that connect via firewire, no you don't need a firewire card. in simple terms, firewire is like usb only faster.
C) go to radioshack and buy an rca to 1/4" adapter.
