Default Minimal amount of used slots in a 192

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a 192 second hand...with only one digital expansion card in it.
So you aren't confused, it's not a 192 digital, but a 192 analog, without the analog cards in them.

My goal was to simply be able to use the adat expansion to expand my TDM setup (HD2 on PT9) with external converters, but unfortunately PT won't recognize the 192 :-(
In digitest it shows up fine tho, so there is nothing wrong with the interface.

Does anyone if and what the minimal amount of occupied slots needs to be on the 192? I don't mind getting a A/D or D/A card, but I want to know If I need both D/A and A/D for it to work, or just one, or am I simply doing something wrong here?

Alex

I'm pretty sure it needs at least an input and an output card in there. If those slots are empty the unit won't be recognised.

I figured that the digital IO card was already an input and output.
Do you mean analog IO then?

Default slot for dig card is slot 2 top row. What slot is your card in?

I checked, it's in slot 2, top row effectively.

I think you need either analog input or analog output for the 192 chassis to work. Digital i/o and extra slot are always optional.
