Default The Case of the Missing Bar

(Windows 7/64; PT 11.3)

My composition gets to bar 52 and goes to bar 53. When I set the counter at bar 52 and click, it goes to bar 53. I went into time operations to insert a bar at bar 52 but it won't let me okay it because it's grayed out.

I didn't notice this until that section had been recorded through. I'm not missing any music in the track. I'm just trying to maybe understand what happened so I know what to do going forward should it happen again.

In the attachment, I have clicked on bar 52 but as you can see, the transport shows bar 53. Any ideas or solutions?

Thanks

I don't doubt you but is that top line in the time ruler really measures? If so you have some really long measure time-wise when I look at the actual time ruler. I'm surprised the intermediate measures between 52 and 55 aren't showing.

The measures are long in appearance because I zoomed in quite a bit.

Okay but if I do that I see all the intervening measures, not just the couple that show in your picture. I'm curious - what bar/measure does it show at time zero (the start)? It should show bar/measure 1.

I see this sometimes where one or more time signatures are italicized... this means that the meter map is corrupted. Jumping a bar number is a typical side-effect of this corruption. When that happens I usually delete the meters from that point to the end of the piece and re-enter them manually.

Create a new session, then import everything. That should get you straight.
