Yes, I I upgraded kontakt to vs 6 and I find it stable while k5 is one of the plugin that causes this error. I can confirm this because some months ago I did an intensive test by running sessoons with avid stock plugins only, then by restoring 3rd party's one by one. Spent days for this. This doesn't mean that the cause of this error is only k5.
Don't know about replacing the video card for mojave. I'm interested about this given that at this time I can't afford a 7.1 and I believe that during this year avid will stop to support HS.

The off the shelf card will work but of course no boot screens.

I got mine on eBay from a seller named chopfooey. Ran about $250 and came with power cables and yes just replace the card and plug in power. Boot screen just like a official Mac card.

This is different than what you wrote in your previous post. You left me with the impression you purchased the card from Newegg.

Otherwise the 580 fans hit the little bolts underneath the NVMe adapter!

Thanks - explains a lot. So you have the video card, the nvme card, HDX card and some kind of card in the upper slot right? All pcie slots are accessible then?

I was responding to your question above. NO ONE currently makes an off the shelf Mac EFI card that I am aware of but PC cards DO work perfectly minus boot screens. Your question was about size. I gave examples of sizes. My apologies for not quoting your exact question that I was responding to.

Yesterday I did a layback of a 90 minute feature. Full compliment of 5.1 mix and stems with stereo downmixes. Not a hiccup. The last time I worked in this particular session I only laid down the main 5.1 mix and it stopped at least 5 times with these errors.

I can't say it's proof but the only change is the GPU.

Yeah I have a UAD quad in the top. If only there was room for a USB 3 card!!

I still seem to have one 9173 error once a day right at the start of the day. Once that’s passed it’s plain sailing.

If that first error doesn’t happen I’m worried!
