Pro tools first crashes when trying to open saved project

Hello, i had ran into a problem opening a project on pro tools first,
each time im trying to open the project the program crashes..
Crash reporter messege says ProTools has quit unexpectedly
I'd also tried to open it from my computer but it won't let me choose either the file(which I have permission) nor from the program import.
im working on a new macbook pro, el capitan with 16 gb ram
any ideas?
