Default Troubles with a corrupted session [solved]

Hi Everyone!

I am new to the forum. A former SAW studio user converted recently to PT. Thanks for having me!

I have a few WAVES plugins for drums and bass. That bundle package they sell. Work great in all my sessions but one I am having issues with.

This is what I can figure out so far.

In my trouble session all of my plugins work, session appears to be just fine. When I load in the WAVES plugin it pops up, blank white and crashes. This plugin works fine in all other sessions. It also works fine when I created a new session and imported the audio. The only problem was the new session didn't have any edits and the tracks with multiple layers of takes ended up being multiple tracks. It was quite the mess to figure out.

I also deleted the preferences in AppData/Roaming/Avid and that didn't help

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

which version of PT?

You should try to create a brand new session, then >File>import session data> import the tracks from the "acting wired one".
If doesn't work, do the same thing importing track by track until you can figure out which track is corrupt.
Then, import the audio from that track to a brand new none, eliminate the plug in that causes the crash (if there is one).

cheers.

12.2.1

I just literally did what you said and it worked! Thanks so much for the help!

This reminds me of the time I spent 20 mins trying to get record levels to realize I didn't plug in my guitar. And to think I have been nominated for awards .. gawd. haha
