Default Fast Track Pro and Windows 10

Hello everybody,

I got a Fast Track Pro hooked up to my computer and upgraded it to Windows 10 lately. The most time it works just fine but from time to time I get some kernel panic which comes from the Fast Track Pro drivers. For the moment I downgraded back to Windows 8.1 which whom I never had any issues, but this cannot be the final solution. Is anyone else having this behaviour?

And when will be the expected time for a driver update?

Greetings,
Martek

Did you uninstall / reinstall the drivers after upgrading to 10? I had some strange issues with my Presonus interface after the upgrade, but removing and reinstalling the drivers seemed to do the trick.

Also, I'm sure they are working on Win 10 updates, but I haven't heard any dates.

I cant hear anything with windows drivers (clean install) of Fast Track Pro, even does not appears as a selectable playback Audio device . I installed the 6.1.10 drivers from AVID web site (official drivers) and the Audio is not clean at all... I change and increase the buffer size to max in the ASIO panel, and the audio still hearing bad, better but bad.

I tried again in a Win7 lap and everything goes great , so, the unit is not the problem, the drivers are.

I opened a Case in AVID website.

They only have to do a little push to update the drivers for this great little unit.

Just my 2 cents, but I would move away from M-audio hardware as soon as possible

You might think me crazy, but a used DIGI003 would be one option(if you have a FW port). For USB options, RME or Audient would likely be tops on my list. Followed by MOTU and maybe Focusrite(if they ever get their drivers sorted). I am running Windows 10 with PT12.3 with an Mbox 2 PRO here and it seems fine. Paid less than $100 used

Focusrite all the way hands down best interfaces under $500 and now they released the Clarett 8 and 8X which are Awesome sounding. Yes they are above $1K but the lower priced interfaces are super nice for the price point.

Since you are in France look at Thomann.de as their prices are usually the best here in Europe.
