Why would someone be in charge of designing a product they obviously have never professionally put thier hands on, under the gun, thousands of times????? important things will NEVER get done....only under Pressure from owners and potential buyers....

The rumor that just won't die is back. Apple to dump Intel CPUs from Macs for Arm. Should be interesting for us OSX users. Maybe I should buy a new Mac now.

Default Avid Link 2019.3 out

Maybe it's a sign the PT 2019 is coming soon. Avid Link 2019.3 just showed up as an update for me.

We are working instead of waiting for updates etc as those will come when they come and nothing to put energy into as that gets you grey hair and high BP!

I went to a avid protools day yesterday in Utrecht (NL) and the avid representative told us next week is 2019-3 ready for download.
He had a beta version running and the main thing was the new audio-engine, wich keeps playing if you move plugins etc.
The channel presets got an upgrade, now you get at the channel preset load the same options wich we see now at import data session, so you can chooses what to load for a specific channel.
Low latency for 3th party i/o's was cool.
And then some other miner stuff like setting channel names at the "new track" options.
And the avid guy had it running on Mojave. but the beta was buggy as hell it frooze up during his presentation 4 times. Had to shut it down completly to get it running again.

so next week yeaah hope they get the last bugs out of the final release.
