Default Cannot reliably suppress "Write To End" warnings.

Does anyone know why I am unable to reliably suppress the "Write To End" automation warnings? I have it selected in the Preferences and tried toggling it but to no avail. Curiously, it seems inconsistent and doesn't always appear. Is it something I could be doing that dictates whether it comes up or not?
