Default Pt 2019

I’m thinking of upgrading from PT 12.3.1to PT 2019 and want to know if the upgrade will play projects done on 12.3.1
Thanks

Yes it will.

You should have no problems opening 12.3.1 sessions and you will get lots of new features which have been introduced since 12.3.1 (which came out around the end of 2015).

Just make sure you have a compatible operating system;

and compatible hardware (start by looking here);

Good luck!

Thanks LAE777

Now I’m wondering if Mojave will support the m-audio profile 2626 interface.🤔

This is a question better asked of M-Audio. Considering that the system requirements as shown on the product page for the interface show old OSX's of 10.4.10 and 10.5.1 it's a crap-shoot at best.

Thanks Musicman, I can’t find anything definite about the compatibility. I wonder if I upgraded to Mojave would PT 12.3.1 still work? That way I could test to see if the Profire 2626 was still working without the expense of upgrading to PT 2019.5
Given I could revert back to El Capitan if Mojave was incompatible (if that is possible) 😩

Don’t do that.

Clone your boot drive, then do the Mojave/PT install. If everything works with your interface, then keep going until you’re all setup.

If things don’t work, you can clone back your original boot partition and be back where you were.

Also, why not just email M-Audio and see what they say regarding drivers for your interface?

In addition to what Sardi wrote you'll want to check to see if your MBP can be upgraded to Mojave.
