12.8.1 and AAF still gets missing file message

Since 12.8.0 I have been getting an error message when opening AAF files that xxx sound files are missing (the exact number of files in project) and wants to relink them, but they are all actually there and it keeps trying to find them. This has continued into 12.8.1. I rolled back to 12.7.1 and all is working again,no error messages.
So far no problems with rolling back, in fact I opened five audio post projects with video and they play better than in 12.8.x both h264 and prores.
If this keeps up I'll stay with 12.7 till they fix AAFs. I get several a week so I need that to work correctly.

I'm having this also (now with 12.8.1). I first thought it was an error with AAFs from Premiere only. Luckily this doesn't do any real harm. Just choose those offline files after import and delete them.
But of course it would be nice if this wouldn't happen at all.

It would be nice if they could fix this - I get a mini heart attack every time I see hundreds of files missing - which is not really missing...
