Default Micro and 002R Drivers?

On a lark, I restarted PTLE and it connected to the C|8. I can't see where I can delete this thread, or I would. Sorry.

I did a search and found a post that said you should be able to just plug the micro in, and PTLE will detect it. Well, that's true cuz PTLE launched. But I still think something is weird.

I have my old iMac at work here with me, cuz I'm going to reinstall OSX then sell it. I ran my 002r from this machine. My C|8 has a short in the display, so I have it here with me so I can call Tech Support today. I decided to plug it into my iMac so that I can have it on and working when I call Digi. In order to launch PTLE, I had to use my Micro, as my 002r is at home. However, when I launch PTLE, it doesn't detect my C|8. The only thing I can figure out is that it still thinks my 002 is connected. I don't see the Micro listed in Audio/Midi properties either, and should. Are there drivers I can drag over to my Library/Application Support/Digidesign folder to make this happen? I don't have my Micro PTLE install disc here with me, which means I'll have to wait until tomorow to call Tech Support.

Thanks!

Jason

It wouldn't launch PT if it didn't see the micro hardware, I think you're barking up the wrong tree. All the "drivers" (if you want to call them that) are installed for all interfaces, you don't need your micro install disc again. Open PT's I/O setup, that will tell you what hardware it's using. Also, what makes you think you should see the micro in AMS? Why would you need your Micro install CD in order to call Tech Support? You're jumping to a lot of conclusions, I think most of them are incorrect.
