Default Re: Multiple outs on one Falcon instance?

That would mean I have to use multiple instances each using the same multi. That makes sense in the way that I don't have to create more than one Falcon multi for a PT arrangement. It leaves me with the question though if having too many Falcon instruments is CPU heavy or not.

This is not what you asked for, but Dan Warrall has a tutorial here ( https://www.uvi.net/falcon.html ) that explains the Falcon very well. You may be able to do everything that you want to do inside one instance of the plug. Either way Dan is always a good person to watch. He gives the best tutorials on the web. Watch it a few times. You'll be glad that you did.

Thanks Extreme Mixing. I hope to save CPU power with all this. I'll check it out. 2:35 am, I'm getting numb.

I see now way to get this bloody job done . I subscribed to the GearSlutz forum and will ask my question there after introducing myself.

Boy this is crap! So much advanced technology in one application and so poor explanation in both the manual as in the tutorials

But I have never been clear how much of a DSP hit I take for doing it that way. Seems like the main DSP hit is the samples and sounds that make the instrument, and not the framwork of the instrument.

Anyone know for sure???
To be correct Falcon doesn't use dsp as such but rather uses cpu power. And it's not so much cpu power being saved but spreading out that usage. If Falcon is like Kontakt if you have say 4 instruments you want to have playing on separate MIDI channels and use just one instance of Kontakt most/all of the cpu power needed comes off one cpu core. If you have 4 separate instances with one instrument each then that load gets spread out over 4 cores.

Through the process I ditched the idea of using only one instance. Just not possible. But I want to use one and the same multi for all instance or one would say in others words one and the same Falcon-arrangement. Which should then carry multiple Instruments but even that is not possible. Each instrument that I want to address in the multi is greyed out for that PT channel in the channel output from the midi track that should control Falcon. Wierd!!!

Gearslutz.com provides no answer yet (perhaps I should wait some more time but a couple of new threads have been answered after I posted mine which is not very encouraging). I am completely stranded.

The YT tutorial here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJweVvn1-YQ doesn't use PT, I found that the problem lies in PT, not in Falcon.

The manual sucks.

I want to use Falcon in an efficient and economic way, and not have to create numerous multies, each containing only one instrument, for one PT session. That's just ridiculous.

Lesbrunn I sent you a pb.

Maybe no one that has read your thread can answer your questions - give it some time.

You're right Musicman. I will, although the blood is creeping and `i'm banging my head on the same wall continuously. Just can't stand it. Time for some meditation and leave the bloody daw alone.

It is not anymore about CPU saving, it is to use Falcon in an economic and efficient way. If you can put, say four instruments in one multi, that makes much more sense than creating four separate multies (each containing only one instrument) for one PT session.

But I'll leave it and wait some time as Musicman rightfully advised.
