Dazed and confused in digi 001 land

Hey Guys,
I am new to digi and pro tools.
I am new here also hope i am in the right place to post.

I recently got a used digi 001 pci card and digi 001 8 channel interface.

My computer is a custom (old) amd 64 with amd with vt8237 chipset.
I mainly use Reaper for recording.
when I try installing just the asio drivers for the digi 001 install seems to go fine
but when I open reaper I get no asio drivers or sometimes I get
into reaper to choose audio device and digi asio is in the list but no channels are listed.

I have also tried on other pcs I have and get pretty much the same.

I have formatted and reinstalled xp more than a porn addict with a bad virus.

Somebody please help before I start a fire with my digi 001.

Being a long time since i used the old good one 001
Not sure if the ASIO driver will work with Reaper,since Reaper is a much newer DAW
than the older supported ones

It may also be an issue of what version of XP you have. If its SP1 or later, you might be best just installing Pro Tools 6.4 and the cs6 and cs9 updates. You might pose this question in the Windows/LE section as there are a few 001 owners lurking there.
